Helping Hand for Relief & DevelopmentYouth for Haiti Last year college students from across the US came together to spend their Spring Break in Haiti to assist with HHRD emergency relief efforts. These students were able to partake in building shelters, volunteer in medical camps, and teach Haitian children in makeshift schools.
HHRD is once again reaching out to students to spend their 2012 Spring Break in efforts to rebuild Haiti.
Similar to the previous year, there will be two batches for the duration of one week each. Sisters Rotation: March 11th- March 18th 2012 Brothers Rotation: March 18th-March 25th 2012
This year volunteers will work continue to work with supervised professionals to help at a local HHRD Health Clinic along with teaching Haitian students. They will also be building dormitories for students as well as a Masjid for the Muslim Community.
Major Eligibility Requirements include: 1. Students must be between the ages of 18-25 years 2. Registration Fee: $950 (of which $500 is non refundable to cover administration costs in US and Haiti 3. Airfare: HHRD will purchase once full payment is received

Helping Hand for Relief & DevelopmentHelp Keep our Brothers and Sisters in Bangladesh Warm with Clothing and Food. We will be collecting the following items until the end of February: Coats, Jackets, Sweaters, Hats, Gloves, Scarves, Shawls, Comforters, Blankets, Quilts, Sleeping Bags, Bed Sheets, Pillow Cases.
ALL ITEMS MUST BE IN GOOD AND CLEAN CONDITION. PLEASE SORT AND PUT THESE ITEMS IN LABELED CARTONS.
Also collecting the following non perishable items: Cooking Oil, Flour, Rice, Sugar, Powdered/Canned Milk, Lentils, Pasta, Salt, Canned Vegetables/Fruit, Hygiene Items. All items must have expiration date of 2013 orr beyond, and must be in original packaging.
Helping Hand reserves the right to disard any or all items that do not meet this requirement.
